Pathology Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist assists with preparing and dissecting surgical specimens. Prepares and selects tissue samples for analysis. Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. To be a Pathology Assistant typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We support children and their families by emphasizing the whole child as we address individual needs in the areas of articulation, phonology, language, stuttering, autism, and pragmatics in a neuro-affirming atmosphere.
