Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for initial and follow-up billing and is responsible for data entry of payments and follow up for resolution of credit balances. The Patient Accounts Representative is accountable to the Patient Accounts Manager and works closely with all people within the department and throughout the organization.
Essential Qualifications: High School Education or equivalent. Must be computer literate and have prior data entry and word processing experience. Prior healthcare billing experience and medical terminology and coding knowledge is preferred.
