JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Coordinator to join our dental office team. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent customer service to our patients. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships that will make a lasting impact. DUTIES:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is obtained
- Scheduling and rescheduling appointments as needed.
- First to answer phone calls, responding to messages.
- Collect patient co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records, including medical history, insurance information, and billing records
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, scanning and faxing documents.
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues or escalate as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology (preferred but not required)
- Proficient in dental practice management software Dentrix (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and dental staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
