The Patient Intake Clerk interviews patients to obtain required medical and financial information and completes registration forms. Registers and admits patients to hospital. Being a Patient Intake Clerk may be expected to perform other admissions related clerical work. Verifies patient insurance and ensures registration forms are properly signed. In addition, Patient Intake Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor and/or manager. Being a Patient Intake Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Schedule: Rotating, every other weekend off
Week 1: Sunday 5:00am - 1:30pm, Monday 8:00am - 12:00pm, Thursday 5:00am - 1:30pm
Week 2: Monday 5:00am - 1:30pm, Thursday 8:00am - 12:00pm, Saturday 5:00am - 1:30pm
