Title: Registrar
Department: Registrar’s Office/Enrollment Management
The Registrar is responsible for ensuring accuracy, privacy, and integrity of all academic records; collaborating with internal stakeholders, particularly Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs to ensure effective course scheduling and registration activities; educating the college community about FERPA requirements; and developing and assessing the Registrar’s Office's goals and objectives to ensure continuous improvement in service to the college community. To this end, the Registrar will develop and lead initiatives involving people, policies, practices, data, and systems, including the implementation of technology applications and improvements in support of quality services for the college community.
Primary Functions:
Oversee and supervise the operation of the Registrar’s Office; develop, maintain, and document policy and procedures.
Validate the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of both the student and the credit course databases.
Develop, maintain, and administer registration systems for credit courses and schedules in all academic terms.
Develop, maintain, and administer student record systems (paper, archival, electronic, and web-based).
Ensure effectiveness and maintain guardianship of critical functions of the College's administrative software system as they relate to student records and registration, including ownership and analysis of business processes and practices, production calendars, and reporting.
Lead, supervise and train department staff.
Secondary Functions:
Establish specific semester dates and deadlines (academic calendar) within the parameters established by governance.
Perform queries and compile report information for other departments upon request; answer and respond to various questions; and respond to unique situations.
Create and update degree and certificate requirements in Ellucian Colleague and, once implemented, in Workday.
Compile and update critical codes and data pertaining to courses, programs and majors in Ellucian Colleague, and once implemented, in Workday.
Set up and maintain approved academic programs and majors in the Colleague and Workday student information systems.
Work closely with the College’s schools to assist with their needs.
Establish and communicate criteria for release of information in compliance with FERPA and AACRAO guidelines; develop and document office policies and procedures.
Define, maintain, and document codes and parameters used by the College's student information systems.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree; Master's degree preferred.
Five years of experience in a college registrar’s office or related setting.
Minimum of three years of experience in supervising diverse teams with established track record of effective and successful leadership.
Proven ability to think strategically, prioritize effectively, and act decisively.
Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of current records, registration, and enrollment policies and trends, as well as technological developments pertinent to the operations typically managed by a college registrar.
Ability to plan and prioritize workflow for an interdependent work group.
Strong organizational and computer/technology skills. Ellucian Colleague experience would be helpful and Workday Student experience would be highly desirable.
Ability to manage multiple and competing projects simultaneously, ability to negotiate time-sensitive solutions and documentation of deliverables.
Ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
