Millcreek Community Hospital, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a full time day shift Patient Transporter to join our team.

Monday - Friday 8-400p

This person will help support the day-to-day operations of the various departments within the hospital.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients and equipment to and from nursing units and other departments throughout the hospital in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and adjunct equipment via prescribed vehicles between patient units, treatment centers, and their designated areas in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Deliver supplies, equipment, and other materials to the patient units, and other designated areas in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Maintain a courteous professional demeanor and communicates appropriately with patients, visitors, hospital personnel, and fellow employees at all times.
• Perform inspections and disinfecting procedures on transportation equipment utilized by the department.
• Report the status of transportation activities and abnormal activities to the manager in charge.
• Delivers supplies, equipment, medication and other materials to the patient units, and other designated areas in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Ensures that a handoff of medication occurs with the nurse.
