To be a Payment Recovery Specialist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • Job Summary – Recovery Specialist

    1st Shift and 2nd Shift available.

    Fri-Tue. 7am-3pm and Tue-Sat. 3-11pm.

    The Recovery Specialist is responsible for assisting the Program Director, Clinical Director, and Counselor/Case Managers with the overall work by collaboratively supporting the program’s day-to-day operations.

    Responsibilities

    1. Supervise and monitor the health and safety of residents in the program.

    2. Completion of daily monitoring and communication log.

    3. Assisting residents in following daily schedule and routines.

    4. Responsible for maintaining the staffing ratio as assigned by the Program Director; (remaining on-site as directed by supervisor).

    5. Attending and participating in weekly staff meetings, as assigned by the Program Director.

    6. Actively promote recovery.

    7. Cooperate with clinical staff to ensure effective and efficient programming.

    8. Answering telephone.

    9. Assist with resident needs and daily requirements.

    10. Assist with daily operations such as food shopping, meal preparation, monitoring of chores, household tasks as assigned.

    11. Participate in individual and group supervision as assigned by the Program Director.

    12. Participate in your performance evaluation with the Program Director.

    13. Have knowledge and understanding of DPH regulations.

    14. Adhere to all Programmatic Policies and Procedures, including Driving Policy.

    15. Occasional transportation of residents is possible.

    16. Adhere to LHI employee handbook rules.

    17. Appropriate utilization of on-call procedures.

    18. Responsible for the immediate notification of safety/health/legal issues happening in the program (resident or programmatic), including completing an Internal or Critical Incident Report form.

    19. Complete agency training to utilize electronic health records and complete appropriate services as assigned.

    20. Responsible for timely calling out to identified supervisor due to inability to cover the shift.

    21. Responsible for completing and authorizing weekly timesheets using our online portal.

    22. Provide Crisis Intervention (resident and programmatic issues)

    23. Utilizing overdose and prevention training (Narcan) if needed.

    24. Responsible for completing both in person and online trainings as assigned monthly.

    25. Responsible for the cleanliness of office and communal spaces.

    26. Adhere to all HIPAA and 42.CFR guidelines.

    27. Complete medication training with program nurse or Medication Specialist.

    28. Adhere to all programmatic medication policies and procedures.

    29. Observe and document residents' self-administration of medications.

    30. Complete daily medication counts.

    31. Other duties as assigned.

    Competencies

    1. Excellent professional boundaries

    2. Strong verbal & written communication skills

    3. Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel and Electronic Health Records.

    Physical demands

    1. Must be able to sit or stand for an extended period.

    2. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

    Required education and experience

    1. High school diploma or GED minimum requirement.

    2. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the Addiction Recovery or mental health-related field, including internship placement hours.

    3. Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to promote recovery.

    4. Must obtain CPR certification

    Other Requirements:

    This position requires the successful completion of a CORI check.

    • Valid Drivers license in most instances is a requirement of all residential staff unless indicated by hiring manager.
    • Staff may be required to transport residents in their own vehicle or company vehicle. Failure to pass driving record check could result in inability to hire
    • Staff may be mandated to stay for an additional shift if coverage is not found by on call administrator
    • Location of shift may vary in the event of a call out at a different residential program
