Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Across our portfolio of companies we are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processor at in our corporate office, located in Plantation, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for and coordinate payroll for all employees in compliance with state and federal wage and hour requirements. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Processes venue bi-weekly payroll for all employees while ensuring accuracy of data.
    • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions.
    • Calculate and process payroll deductions, adjustments, garnishments and bonuses.
    • Review payroll reports for accuracy and completeness
    • Calculates and processes vacation and sick pay requests.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and files.
    • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related issues.
    • Follow payroll approval process in accordance with Company guidelines,
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
    • Collaborate with HR and finance departments as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll processing. ADP experience preferred.
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred but not required.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent data entry, basic accounting, and journal entry skills.
    • Understanding of payroll taxes, laws, regulations, and requirements.
    • Ability to function both independently and as a team member.
    • Ability to meet specific deadlines and successfully work under pressure, with close attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Proficiency in Spanish or Creole languages is highly valued.

    Computer Skills

    • Excel experience In formulas
    • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications.
    • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • HRIS experience including ADP and JazzHR preferred.
