Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Gemma Power Systems is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our home office team in Glastonbury, CT! We are looking for an experienced individual to administer the processing of Gemma’s payroll and collect payroll data in order to maintain accurate financial records.
Position Description:
The Payroll Administrator is integral to the Gemma Finance team. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, self-driven and committed to delivering a high-quality work product under regimented time constraints. They should also be focused on administering Gemma’s payroll program in an efficient and organized manner. The Payroll Administrator will report to the Payroll Manager and work closely with the rest of the payroll team.
