Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     The Roanoke Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Roanoke, AL is currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant. The Bookkeeper works directly with and assist the Administrator in successfully fulfilling the day-to-day Accounts Receivable and administrative office management function of the facility in accordance with Ball HealthCare's established policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards relating to long-term care operations as directed by the Administrator. If you have a desire to serve the rehabilitation and healthcare needs in both the long-term and short-term care industry, this is the opportunity for you!


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must be 18-years of age, have a High School diploma or GED
    • A minimum of two years formal training and experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and/or office management
    • Must have Insurance billing background in dealing with Medicare and Medicaid
    • Must complete, review, verify and submit all required reports timely and accurately
    • Must have a willingness to learn and have a good working knowledge of general office practices
    • Must be honest, loyal, trustworthy and confidential
