Payroll Clerk jobs in Albany, GA

Chaparral Boats, Inc and Robalo Boats, LLC are looking for a highly motivated individual who proves to be accurate, thorough, confidential, and possesses strong organizational skills. This individual will work alongside the Payroll Manager to assist with the payroll process on a weekly basis, as well as, perform other administrative duties and special projects. This position requires that the payroll assistant must be reliably present to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and other hours as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Efficiently use payroll software
• Examine electronic timesheets to ensure their accuracy
• Communicate with supervisors to confirm that timesheets are approved and employees are compensated accurately
• Meet all payroll deadlines
• Distribute hard copy pay stubs
• Generate, format, and distribute weekly reports
• Perform month-end duties, as instructed
• File and maintain organized electronic time keeping files
• Support other departments with administrative needs, as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 plus years of administrative/payroll experience. Bookkeeping/Accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general HR practices and procedures
• Familiarity with office equipment, such as printers, scanners, and phone systems
• Possess a passion for numbers and the capability of calculating time worked schedules, on a weekly basis
• Obtain accurate and efficient data entry skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Must perform duties with attention to detail and accuracy
