JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team.
THE ROLE
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing. This role will be responsible for entering and uploading payroll data for off cycles, bonus files and miscellaneous earnings and deductions. This role will also be the primary contact for customer inquiries, providing excellent customer service support.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Create and upload data files for earnings and deductions ensuring to validate totals
- Balance biweekly payrolls per operating procedures
- Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies
- Work with the local payroll administrators to obtain information for accelerated final pay requirements and off-cycle payments
- Manually update employee’s record for off cycle payments as needed
- Update employee’s records with lock letter information
- Create and update employee union dues deductions as needed
- Review daily ACH returns and communicate with team members to update banking information
- Review employee information and pay records for compliance with company policies, FLSA requirements, and final pay requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience with timekeeping and payroll software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail
Education And Experience
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting or a related field and
- Minimum 2 years experience in processing payrolls, performing quality assurance reviews and analysis
