Part-time Payroll/AP Clerk

Ware Langhorne & Associates, Richmond’s top medical billing company, is in need of a part-time Payroll/AP Clerk to join its dynamic team. Can expect to work approx. 12-16 hours/wk, in the time frames of 9:30am-2:30pm Mondays and Tuesdays; and a handful of additional hours/wk are possible on Thursdays or Fridays. Hours may increase slightly depending on the time of year. Will be processing payrolls and Accounts Payables for clients. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience working as a payroll clerk in a fast-paced environment, and have experience with AP. Must be detail-oriented, organized, have solid critical thinking skills, and be able to problem solve.

Duties include the following:

· Input and process payroll for physician practices weekly, resolving any discrepancies

· Maintain and update benefit deductions and direct deposit accounts

· Maintain accurate time clocks with clients and set up new employees on timeclock

· Process Federal and VA tax payments

· Maintain PTO records for clients

· Process 401k payments for clients where needed

· Process year end and holiday bonuses for clients

· Process and mail Accounts Payables, keeping records of what is mailed out

· Sorting AP, bills, payroll info as it comes in

· Other tasks as appropriate
