Payroll Manager is responsible for managing payroll processing operations. Establishes policies and processes that ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Being a Payroll Manager interfaces between finance and human resource departments to provide accurate and useful information. Develops and produces payroll-related statistical reports. Additionally, Payroll Manager ensures accurate and on-time governmental reporting and compliance. Oversees the activities and training of both professionals and support staff. Directs the resolution of complex issues or errors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Payroll Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Payroll Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Yogi is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager to join our Accounting team in a dynamic role administering compensation for our employees and remitting payment to our vendors and suppliers accurately and timely.

    The Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager is responsible for two vital areas of the organization. Payroll responsibility includes but is not limited to processing payroll, reconciling employee insurance and administrative aspects of the benefits plans, and maintaining the employee database. Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing the payables aging, building strong working relationships with suppliers and employees, and maintaining and monitoring internal controls and processes. This position will work closely with the AP Specialist and the People team.

    WHAT YOU’LL OWN:                                                  

        1099/W-9 maintenance including year-end filing

        Provide regular reporting on Accounts Payable aging and metrics

        Assisting with month end closing including accrual reports and reconciliations

        Process vendor invoices using 3-way matching and proper GL coding

        Review and process vendor invoices through SAP Concur and Exact Globe

        Process weekly payments via check, ach, and wire

          Drive continuous improvement and Supplier Performance metrics. 

           Work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and reconcile monthly   statements

           Respond to vendor inquiries.

           Partner across the organization to gathering all supporting documents and approvals.

        Facilitates the set up for all local, state and federal taxes utilizing ADP Workforce Now Smart Compliance and maintaining processes for individual state set up 

        Enter and verify bi-weekly payroll data and create manual and out-of-sequence payments.

        Perform routine audits and process adjustment entries on employee records

        Remain in compliance with all legal and institutional requirements

        Processes supplemental benefits and deductions including deductions for 401(k), Health Savings Account and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plans. 

        Prepares all benefit payables bi-weekly, preparing timely ACH and uploads to benefit providers.

        Creates manual and out-of-sequence payments.

        Facilitates troubleshooting in processing with ADP Workforce Now technical partners.  

        Processes bonuses, (referral & anniversary (bi-weekly) as well as annual performance). 

        Maintains data integrity of all paid time off benefit accruals. 

        Ensures strict confidentiality of all information and safeguards records. 

        Administers all aspects of recordkeeping, forms management/archives, and compliance, including annual audits and census reconciliations.  

        Provide leadership, support, and monitors priorities of Accounts Payable team.

        Assist in management functions, including hiring, evaluating performance coaching, development, cross training, succession planning, as well as quarterly and annual reviews.

    WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED: 

        Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience

        4 years of relevant work experience

        Food, Beverage, or Dietary Supplement experience preferred but not required.

        Strong skills in vendor management

        Proven system skills, including ERP systems, ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office

        Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

        Experience successfully working in a highly collaborative manner across a variety of business functions

        Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to understand when escalation is needed
