Your Role

The Senior / Payroll Accountant shall be responsible for timely and accurate recording payroll and subcontractors’ wages in the books. The Senior / Payroll Accountant shall plan, direct, lay out and coordinate all payroll related activities in a manner to minimize delays and errors and maximize productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review bi-weekly processing of payroll for all employees in payroll system.
• Weekly processing of subcontractors’ wages and timely submission to contract houses for invoicing.
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Streamline process, continuous improvements with objective to move online instead of hardcopies.
• Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Development team to ensure contractor wage rates are properly documented and updated
• Understand proper tax treatment and processing requirements for wages and employer paid benefits
• Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
• Ensure proper documentation with necessary approvals prior to processing any non-standard payments
• Responsible for payroll accounting and accruals to ensure proper recording of labor costs in the financial books
• Responsible for 401(k) submissions in timely manner
• Monitors changes and remains current on legal & regulatory or governmental requirements (e.g., wage and hour, garnishments, tax matters, 401(k) and other benefit deductions)
• Oversees the preparation of required reports or payments to government agencies, insurance companies, or other organizations.
• Responsible for Audit requirements, for example, 401(k), Workmen Compensation, Internal & External Audit for payroll related areas
• Good understanding of Time and Attendance system setup and time reporting; performing audits as needed
• Function as the primary interface between the company and payroll system provider
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

What You'll Need

• The Senior / Payroll Accountant shall have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Possess good supervisory skills, versatile, excellent communication skills with different levels of management. He / She shall possess good data analytics skills, hands-on and embrace technology for productivity.
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, OR relevant studies
