Payroll Manager

We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Manager to manage the company’s payroll processing department. They will be the one to communicate with clients, gather missing information, and oversee the overall payroll process including 2-3 team members. Working experience is a must. A payroll manager is able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. They have great communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and executives. The goal is to ensure the payroll process is running smoothly and respond to clients requests and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Gather missing information from clients
• Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
• Proof completed payrolls before delivery
• Onboard and set up new clients
• Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
• Address issues and questions regarding payroll from clients

Skills & Experience

• 2-4 years proven experience as payroll specialist or payroll manager REQUIRED
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practice
• Knowledgeable about legislation and regulations of the field
• Knowledgeable about and experience with reporting requirements
• Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
• Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
