JOB TITLE: Payroll Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Payroll

REPORTS TO: Payroll Supervisor    

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISES: None

Job Summary

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the processing of weekly multi-state payroll.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

• Provide supervisors with daily timesheets for approval
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Process payroll by piecework, hourly and/or combination for multiple locations using PET Tiger
• Process payroll by established deadlines
• Assist employees and supervisors with payroll issues and assist all locations with processing payroll
• Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
• Address employee's pay-related concerns and provide accurate payroll information
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
• Complete forms for all employee payroll related inquiries
• Maintain filing of payroll role related reports
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Assists with or prepares correspondence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Self motivated

Advanced skills: Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish. Famous and Pet Tiger Time and Attendance experience preferred

Education and Experience

High School education or higher with a minimum of 2-4 years payroll related experience.  Agricultural experience a plus.

Work Environment

The Payroll Clerk is required to work in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment in an office setting.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday,

At times, a varied work schedule may be required to support operations.
 

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
