Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of payroll processing operations. Ensures accurate calculation of wages and processing of tax withholding and company deductions. Being a Payroll Supervisor prepares statistical reports on employee pay, commissions and bonuses; vacation, sick, disability and workers compensation leave; taxes, withholding, etc. Oversees the distribution of paychecks and direct deposit programs. Provides training to team on policies, regulations, and processes. Additionally, Payroll Supervisor assists team members with resolving errors or responding to inquiries. May be the first level escalation for complaints or complex error resolution. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Payroll Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    Essential Duties

    • Must process multi-company, multi-state payroll & reporting within strict & limited timelines
    • Must reconcile bi-weekly, monthly & quarterly reports & deposits.
    • Close monthly, QTR & year processing of all State, Federal, quarterly & annual reports.
    • Balance payroll accruals accounts monthly to make sure charges from vendors are being deducted from employees timely & accurately.
    • Monitor & manage multiple timekeeping systems.
    • Process & balance all payroll contributions to H S A and 401(k)
    • Monitor & manage 401(k) correspondence and required information distributions
    • Any other duties assigned at any given time.

    Minimum Qualifications/Skills required

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years payroll experience including calculation of all payroll taxes.
    • Must have knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel & Access.
    • Must have efficient 10 key & accurate data entry.
    • Must be able to correspond & communicate well with others.
    • Must have good phone skills.
    • Capable of learning payroll software programs geared to the company.
    • Must be detail oriented.

    Physical Requirements

    • Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to handle interruptions.
    • Must be able to sit at a desk and use a computer for long periods at a time.
    • Must be able to use office equipment necessary to perform any job function.

    Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
