May perform system setups for new hires. Additionally, PC Maintenance Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or supervisor. We are seeking a skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform medication reconciliation and ensure accuracy of medication orders
- Maintain inventory control and assist with medication procurement
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of pharmaceuticals to accurately interpret prescriptions
- Assist in the compounding of medications, including sterile products, following aseptic technique
- Prepare intravenous (IV) medications for infusion
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of pharmacy operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
