    Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced People Operations Manager to implement talent strategies that will drive recruitment, employee engagement, and seamless HR/business operations throughout the employee lifecycle.  This position is a new addition to ModeX and is a rewarding opportunity to empower our team for success and contribute to meaningful work for patients in need.

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    Talent Acquisition

    • Lead full-cycle recruitment to support managers in hiring top talent (consult with hiring managers, post requisitions, source, prescreen, schedule, conduct references, extend offers, shepherd onboarding, provide candidate engagement throughout)
    • Provide expert guidance for hiring managers & across the organization about talent acquisition best practices
    • Drive process & operational improvements
    • Drive positive candidate experience from sourcing to onboarding & orientation, and all interactions throughout the candidate journey
    • Design & deploy effective sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
    • Grow ModeX brand awareness & presence in the Boston biotech market and at local recruiting events, such as university activities, career fairs, industry conferences, and more
    • Maximize talent acquisition success by tracking progress against essential KPIs; communicate on performance and progress with key leaders
    • Provide seamless operational support & effective collaboration in areas including but not limited to: internal collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team at our parent and sister companies, requirements & workflows within our Applicant Tracking System (currently iCIMS), IT/office space needs for new hires, employment verification, onboarding tasks, compliance, and more
    • Ensure compliance and stay current with applicable employment laws, regulations, and best practices
    • In all activities, advance ModeX goals and commitments to build a workplace and team that champions Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

     

    HR & People Operations

    • Operationally support a range of initiatives to engage, develop, and retain top talent
    • Responsible for annual & ongoing compensation benchmarking (external/market data & internal analysis), to stay competitive as an employer of choice and uphold internal equity
    • Conduct ModeX new hire orientation for all new employees
    • Partner closely & collaborative effectively with HR Operations team at our parent company, OPKO Health. Serve as primary internal liaison for payroll, benefits, compliance, and HRIS teams.
    • Provide HRIS (currently ADP) support to ModeX staff (user support, employee changes, data requests, etc)
    • Maintain ModeX employee files

     

    Internal Communications & Employee Experience

    • Provide concepting, planning, and execution support for employee engagement activities & events
    • Write all-staff messaging for weekly, monthly, and special occasion events
    • Support launching and maintaining a new intranet platform for internal communications
    • Communicate a monthly Employee Experience Calendar
    • Manage ModeX Employee Experience internal inbox & calendar (Microsoft Outlook)

     

    Qualifications:

    • 6-8 years of relevant experience in People Operations / Human Resources / Talent Acquisition
    • Proven track record of success in leading and delivering against Talent Acquisition goals; hands-on full-cycle recruiting experience required
    • Prior work experience in the biotech industry is preferred
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
    • People-centric and strategic thinker
    • Highly effective problem solver
    • Ability to connect with & build trust with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization
    • Flexible force-for-good; positive team player
