Job Description: Our Bathers/Assistants are responsible for prepping, bathing, brushing and drying our pet clients. Additional tasks include nail trim services, shop cleaning and laundry duties. Our Bathers receive training from experienced senior staff members. All tasks are completed by using humane practices and adhering to safety procedures.

Additional tasks include (but are not limited to):

• Acts as assistant to groomer by:
• Bathing, blow dry, and prepare each pet's coat for grooming.
• Blow dry, fluff and remove any knots or tangles to prepare the pet for the groomer.
• Complete nail trims
• Document and note any concerns (temperament, health, etc) and report to groomer
• Provide the best customer service possible to ensure their pet received top-quality grooming
• Monitor pets at all times for signs of stress and or health concerns
• Clean pet waste as needed/directed
• General shop maintenance where needed
• Towel laundry
• Vacuuming hair

Candidate Skills/Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• At least 6 months of pet bathing experience
• Cares for and values all types of dogs and cats
• Patience with stressed/frustrated/excited dogs & cats
• Agreeable to cleaning pet waste/accidents
• Ability to document in writing condition of pet, any notable concerns/issues, and more

• Availability: Monday - Saturday (as early as 8AM)

Employment Details:

• Part Time
• Pay Range $10.50-$12.00 (pay is commensurate with industry experience)
• Paid on the job training

• This position is for a Bather. At this time we have no plans to train or promote any staff to a grooming role. We cannot predict or assure any staff members that a future grooming role will be available.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.50 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 36 per week

• Weekends as needed
