Registered Pharmacist needed in Farmingdale , NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. Your expertise in medical management, critical care, and pharmacy will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy management
- Provide patient education on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions
- Conduct patient assessments to identify medication-related problems and develop appropriate interventions
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of hospital procedures to accurately document patient information
- Maintain proper inventory control of medications and supplies
- Adhere to aseptic technique when compounding sterile products
- Monitor and adjust medication therapy based on patient response and laboratory values
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide recommendations for optimizing patient care
- Provide support in the emergency room (ER) setting, ensuring timely medication administration and patient care

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical management, critical care, and pharmacy practices
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of hospital procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Ability to assess patients' needs and develop appropriate medication therapy plans
- Skilled in aseptic technique for compounding sterile products
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques for monitoring medication effectiveness
- Competent in medication administration techniques for various routes (oral, intravenous, etc.)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
