Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Compound and label medications accurately
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into the computer system
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Perform calculations to ensure correct dosages
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
- Certification as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with inhale and IV infusion medications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
