Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Regional Director is responsible for maintaining and growing IPC’s membership and warehouse participation within a defined geographical region. This is accomplished through the sales and promotion of IPC’s value proposition, programs and services benefitting Independent Pharmacy. They must possess highly effective communication skills needed to establish and maintain relationships with pharmacy owners and staff. This includes utilizing reporting tools provided to achieve or exceed sales and gross profit objectives and related goals. RD’s may have additional responsibilities appropriate with experience level.
Travel is estimated at 50%. Must live in Sacramento, Stockton or Modesto, CA areas.
