What responsibilities will you have?
Our Purchasing Agent will receive, review and process requisitions requesting goods or services. You will need to processes RMA's and P.O.'s for Kanban items and communicate with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. We will need you to perform expediting of orders and requests as needed.
You will need to determine method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid and prepare purchase orders or bid requests. You would review bid proposals and places orders within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. We would want you to maintain procurement records such as items or services purchases, costs, delivery, and inventories.
You would need to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action. You may work with manufacturers or persuade potential vendors to undertake the manufacturing of custom designed items according to the user's specific needs and specifications. You would work with Purchasing Manager and VP of Supply Chain to achieve special projects as required.
What skills are we looking for?
We are looking for you to have strong negotiation ability, skills in Microsoft office, a familiarity with Industrial Electronics Sector, be self motivated, and have excellent communication skills. You would also need to have a practical approach to problem solving and an ability to work under pressure.
