Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.   • Communicate with patients, medical personnel, vendors and other persons utilizing pharmacy information systems and knowledge of medications.
  • Provide assistance to Pharmacy staff by answering and prioritize calls from patients needing information on prescription status, refills, etc ..
