and Job Summary

We are seeking a courteous Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier with excellent customer service skills. They will scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information about products, promotions, or item location. You will also answer phones, take prescription refill requests, and relay information between the customers and the the pharmacy personnel. They will perform daily tasks of receiving orders, placing orders, merchandising and straightening pharmacy departments, and maintaining a clean workspace.

To succeed, you should have a strong work ethic and a high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service. You should have excellent punctuality and attendance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items while offering friendly, professional customer service.
• Operating scanners, cash registers, and other electronics.
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate, and proving a receipt to every customer.
• Processing refunds and exchanges upon approval
• Bagging prescription purchases accurately and verifying patient match.
• Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, etc.
• Maintaining a clean workspace.
• Complete and comply with HIPPA training for work in a medical facility
• Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or Cashier experience.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
• Attention to detail.
• Helpful, courteous approach to handling all customer requests.
