Pharmacy Service Clerk jobs in Roanoke, VA
Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Long term care experience preferred, but not required.
QS1 knowledge preferred.Our organization is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to fill orders for our long term care residents. The ideal candidate for this position is responsible, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn. Pharmacy is open 8:30am-9pm Mon-Fri and 12-6pm Saturday. Eight hour shifts rotate among staff.
Responsibilities:
- Filling medication orders in compliance packaging
- Performing data entry
- Preparation of medications for delivery to nursing units
- Set example of excellent customer service to nurses, residents, fellow staff
- Other tasks as requested
