Job Description: Customer Service Representative
The Billing/Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering customer service inquiries via phone, fax, email, & walk in. This person will be responsible with handling accurate, timely and efficient medical equipment orders, reviewing and preparing documentation, maintain data base by entering and updating customer account information, delivery orders, pick-ups, and miscellaneous services. This position will also require the ability to accurately communicate verbal instructions on the equipment use/safety, insurance verification/coverage and when scheduling the equipment delivery/pick-up.
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
-Respond promptly to customer inquiries received via phone, fax, and email.
-Knowledgeable with most Medical Insurance Policies. Will need to verify customer’s insurance eligibility, benefits, and process authorizations.
-Receive & Process daily Home/Respiratory Medical Equipment orders as they come in.
-Communicate and coordinate with other departments, as necessary.
-Maintain a positive, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
-Good Organizational, Written, Verbal Skills.
-Other duties as requested by management and ability to in different departments when needed
-Able to help in different departments when needed.
Job Requirements:
-High School Diploma/GED.
-Basic Computer Skills and Common Knowledge of Microsoft Programs such as WORD, Excel, & Outlook.
-Bilingual skills are considered a plus but not required.
