Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare services to patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently

- Maintain proper storage and handling of medications

- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed

- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals

- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns

- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system

- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and data entry

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience, or, willingness to learn

- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred but not required

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacy calculations, and drug interactions preferred but not required

- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and technology preferred but not required

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

Skills:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following skills:

- Acute care experience preferred but not required

- Patient care/interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required

- Proficiency in pharmacy operations and procedures preferred but not required

- Strong understanding of critical care medication administration preferred but not required

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, preferred but not required
