Pharmacy Technician jobs in Worcester, MA

We have a full-time Pharmacy Technician opening within a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation facility pharmacy in Worcester, MA. Your primary role will be to assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions, adjudicating prescription insurance claims, managing, and maintaining inventory, and completing various projects assigned by the pharmacist.

You must be an excellent communicator with good problem-solving skills, an independent thinker, and a team player who is detail oriented and organized.

Experience with the following would be helpful:

• Data entry
• Prior authorizations and resolving various insurance rejections.
• Properly packaging and shipping prescriptions.

Typical Duties

• . Fill new medications orders, refills, and renewals for Pharmacy clients.
• . Restock pharmacy shelves when medications are received from the wholesaler.
• . Check for outdated medications.
• . Prepares prescriptions for the pharmacist to check.
• . Prepare any packages that will be mailed to patients.

· Make recommendations to the Pharmacist as to how methods and procedures can

be improved.

• . Ability to help others whenever and wherever there is a backlog.
• . Being accurate, fast, knowledgeable, thorough and complete in one’s work.
• . Willingness to learn new responsibilities.

Qualification and Licenses

· Pharmacy Technicians must be registered in Massachusetts.

· One to two years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician

· High School diploma or equivalent
