Wellborn Forest Cabinetry is seeking a Finishing Manager in Alexander City, AL. This position includes bonus earnings as well as relocation assistance for those who qualify. 

The Finishing Manager will manage the production operations of the finishing department while meeting daily production goals and maintaining quality standards. You will oversee all aspects of production and look to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Wellborn Forest, a member of the HCI Portfolio, is a designer and manufacturer of semi-custom wood kitchen and bath cabinets serving the single-family residential market exclusively through the dealer channel. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Manage the Production operation of the department.
• Meet daily production goals and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain and develop SOPs for the department and ensure they are followed.
• A good understanding of FIFO  
• Addresses quality issues based on data and resolves quickly.
• Audits processes and resolves non-conforming processes.
• Assist downstream internal customers with delivery issues.
• Responsible for workplace safety and adhering to all plant safety rules.
• Work with Vendors to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Evaluate production processes,  machines, and materials to meet production goals.
• Develop a “Team” atmosphere and be able to lead the department.
• Experienced in problem-solving with “lean” tools.

Job Qualifications:  

• Experience in the finishing of wood products and components.
• Adaptable to change and have the desire to make a difference.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Think forward, anticipate issues, and plan for contingencies.
• Effective communication, and organization skills
• Must have prior experience using Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.…
