Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in South Dakota
Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Avera is currently seeking Physical Therapist (PT) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.
Job Summary
Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of physical therapy services implementing specific treatment program for individual patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and established objectives of the department.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program of the American Physical Therapy Association preferred
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed by the State of South Dakota as a Physical Therapist required.
Work Schedule
- PRN, as needed
Pay
- $35.00 - $53.00 per hour
