Job Opportunity: 

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a new team member responsible for administrative assistant & receptionist functions for our San Ramon branch office.  The administrative assistant will provide administrative support to senior team members and manage general operational duties for the office.   

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to include calendar management, report generation
• Coordinate travel arrangements including organizing accommodations, air/ground transportation, meetings, expenses, and logistics for team, as needed
• General administrative support for larger team
• Order office supplies and provide onsite management of office equipment (telephone, printers, workstations etc.)
• Liaising with Building Management re building management issues
• Monitor & manage phone system and main phone line directing calls as appropriate
• Manage schedule and maintenance for office conference rooms and shared office space
• Other duties as identified

 Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years administrative assistant experience
• Experience with travel and expense applications
• Advanced interpersonal skills
• Superior verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting assigned deadlines
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills

The base salary range for this position is from $50,000 to $70,000, along with annual bonus eligibility; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
