Physician Assistant - Surgical jobs in Colorado

Our expanding northeast Colorado Springs practice is seeking a Full-Time Oral Surgical Assistant for 34-40 hours a week. We are looking for someone with a positive team spirit who focuses on the highest level of care and service. If this is what you value as well, we would love to talk with you.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up treatment room
• Must be able to assist in operating room
• Assisting the surgeon with all chairside procedures including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup.
• Monitor patient's vital signs and airway management during IV sedation
• Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols.
• Monitoring our stock of surgical supplies and medication
• Conduct primary and secondary steps for implant experience when needed.

Surgical Assistant Requirements:

• CPR certification
• Must have a minimum of 1 year dental assistant or surgical assistant technician experience to apply
• Be able to take high quality digital x-rays and CT images
• Familiar with medical and dental terminology - ICD and CPT knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in practice management software such as OMS Vision.
• Excellent customer/patient service skills
• Experience with dental implant procedures and charting preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
