Physician - CCU treats patients in critical/coronary care unit to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists as necessary. Being a Physician - CCU requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Physician - CCU may report to a medical director. Physician - CCU's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) consists of 56 private beds organized into five pods. Each pod has its own pod station, medication room, food service area, equipment room, clean utility room and soiled utility room. Each patient room is equipped to provide individualized care for patients during their hospitalization.

The Aultman Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse that provides direct, primary nursing care to patients/residents. The RN delegates and coordinates patient care, based upon a documented assessment of the patient’s/resident’s needs. The RN supervises the care provided by individuals such as licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians/state tested nursing assistants/nurse aides, medical assistants, and etc., if applicable.
