POSITION IS FOR FISHKILL AND POUGHKEEPSIE OFFICES , OCCASIONAL NEW MILFORD (1 x per month)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized and energetic Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology team. The successful candidate will have medical assistant experience, high attention to detail . A solid base of knowledge related to the treatment and prevention of skin diseases is essential for this job, along with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks at once. We prefer applicants who are fast learners .

We're looking for someone who is active, passionate, customer service-focused and dedicated to maintaining the high standards we set for all of our patients. It is necessary to have a strong work ethic and the capacity to multitask.

Applicants must be effective communicators and feel comfortable with patients, consent discussions, and follow-up. Must understand prescription writing, EMR experience, clever scheduling, ability to triage, understanding of medical language and ensuring physician time is efficient.

Must be efficient and well-organized, as well as self-directed and dependable. Without a lot of monitoring or micromanagement, you must be able to solve problems and think freely. We're looking for someone very motivated, pays close attention to detail, likes working directly with patients, is well-versed in dermatological terminology, and is well organized. Ensures that clients have the most outstanding possible experience from beginning to end, have excellent follow-ups from their visits, and receive what they require.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and record patients' information.
• Aid doctors in the administration of medications, treatments, and other procedures.
• Gather samples from patients and analyze the samples for proper diagnosis.
• Schedule examinations and procedures for patients.
• Sterilize medical equipment.
• Be familiar with medical office computer software.
• Communicate with medical professionals effectively;.Handle patient complaints.
• Fishkill and Poughkeepsie offices. Some evening hours required .

QUALIFICATIONS:

DERMATOLOGY OR MEDICAL MA EXPERIENCE IS required

Professionalism and maturity are essential in speech and demeanor.

Highly organized, with a solid commitment to completion and the capacity to foresee demands.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated written and vocal communication abilities.

Excellent typing abilities and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

Working knowledge of the EMR system

Must be able to work both alone and as part of a team.

Adaptability to a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
