Physician - Endocrinology examines and diagnoses hormone disorders and diseases and specializes in management of hormone conditions. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Endocrinology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Endocrinology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Greet patients
Check patients in and out for appointments
Answer incoming phone calls
Verify patients name, address, insurance and phone number
Scan insurance cards into practice management system
Accept co-payments, and co-insurance payments by cash, check or credit card
Contact patients and verify appointments for the following day
Verify patient’s insurance coverage
Work closely with the medical staff to ensure efficient work flow
Other duties as assigned
Multi-task, Fast paced office.
Previous Medical Receptionist experience required.
