Physician - Generalist examines and treats general client base to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Being a Physician - Generalist requests necessary tests, follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Generalist requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Generalist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     The Cybersecurity Generalist will protect the organization’s digital assets and sensitive information from cyberthreats. It is the responsibility of the Cybersecurity Generalist to research emerging threats, ongoing remediation of critical vulnerabilities in the corporate environment with the assistance of the Information Technology Department. The Cybersecurity Generalist is responsible for ongoing monitoring of Security Information Event Management tool, best practices, alert modifications, tuning, and monitoring of all assets EDR and vulnerability and patch management along with Third Party Risk Management best practices. Communication of corporations identified Cybersecurity Risks and mitigation options.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (P) or equivalent experience (R)

    Experience: Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices with proven experience in cybersecurity roles. Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST 800-171. Strong Proficiency in security tools and technology such as Security Information Event Management, Antivirus, Patch Management utilities. Strong working knowledge of IT service management including change, asset, configuration and service and problem management. Working knowledge of internal and external vulnerability remediation.

    Skills: Strategic planning, interpersonal communication, influence, adaptability, business acumen, problem solving, project management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Validates IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risk where applicable.
    • Supports the testing and validation of internal security controls as directed by the Cybersecurity Architect.
    • Coordinates with Cybersecurity Architect and IT Staff to assess the security of Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) systems and endpoints.
    • Reviews alerts and data from Security Information Event Management (SIEM), EDR and other various Security related tools and documents formal technical incident reports.
    • Works with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) and EDR tools to tune alert notifications, assess Vulnerability Management detections, assign alerts, and manage detection content.
    • Liaisons with IT Hardware Support group to ensure proper security setup and validation against endpoints before implementation to ensure hardened security best practices.
    • Drafts security procedures and standards to be reviewed and approved by Cybersecurity Architect.
    • Liaisons with IT Hardware Support group for Vulnerability and Patch Management and assist with deployment of certain security related patches. Validates that security and other critical patches to firmware and operating systems are configured and deployed in a timely manner.
    • Assist with administration of company’s Mobile Device Management platform and reviews policies and best practices in conjunction with the IT Hardware Support group for implementation.
    • Ensures complete, accurate and valid inventory of all systems. Regularly monitors environment for any changes and shadow IT.
    • Identified opportunities to improve risk posture, develop solutions for risk remediation or mitigation of risk and assessing residual risk.
    • Ongoing monitoring and administration of security tools in environment.
    • Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned.
