The Cybersecurity Generalist will protect the organization’s digital assets and sensitive information from cyberthreats. It is the responsibility of the Cybersecurity Generalist to research emerging threats, ongoing remediation of critical vulnerabilities in the corporate environment with the assistance of the Information Technology Department. The Cybersecurity Generalist is responsible for ongoing monitoring of Security Information Event Management tool, best practices, alert modifications, tuning, and monitoring of all assets EDR and vulnerability and patch management along with Third Party Risk Management best practices. Communication of corporations identified Cybersecurity Risks and mitigation options.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (P) or equivalent experience (R)
Experience: Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices with proven experience in cybersecurity roles. Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST 800-171. Strong Proficiency in security tools and technology such as Security Information Event Management, Antivirus, Patch Management utilities. Strong working knowledge of IT service management including change, asset, configuration and service and problem management. Working knowledge of internal and external vulnerability remediation.
