Physician - Hospitalist examines, diagnoses, and treats hospitalized patients. Manages patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care. Being a Physician - Hospitalist orders treatments, tests, and consults with specialty physicians and primary care physician where appropriate. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Hospitalist requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Hospitalist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Aultman Hospital, located in Canton, OH, would like to add to their team of 22. The ideal candidate will appreciate and average patient load of 17-18 patients during day rotation and 8-10 admissions while on Nights. The Nocturnist Physician has cross coverage of daily census. Two physicians are on every night with a full-time NP support. In addition, our hospitalists do not respond to code blue, rapid response, and do not have ICU coverage. They also have solid support from RNs and APRNs as part of their team.
