Position Summary
The Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for collaborating with managers and staff of the Pharmacy to optimize clinical and operational pharmacy services as the service line leader for antimicrobial stewardship throughout the healthcare system. The Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for providing direct patient care by proactively and reactively impacting pharmacotherapeutic decisions through interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff participating in the care of patients throughout the healthcare system. In addition, the Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for contributing to the educational initiatives of the health-system including, but not limited to, staff development and student and resident precepting. The Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will also be responsible for managing quality improvement and research projects in area of specialty.
