    Job Description

    We are looking for a Front Desk/ Check in and Check Out Patient Care Coordinator/ Medical Assistant to join our Dover office. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. The individual must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task. A team player with a positive attitude.

    Only candidates with at least 1 year of experience working in a medical practice with experience as an Medical Assistant will be considered.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Insurance verification
    • Collection of Co-Pays
    • Scheduling of testing and follow up appointments
    • Review all discharge instructions and give proper documentation, i.e diet, labs, etc.
    • Print labs for future appointments
    • Create labs if not done by doctor
    • Schedule any testing requested by physician
    • Give any required specialist referral contact information or make an appointment with the specialist
    • Schedule follow-up appointments

    Medical Assistant responsibilities

    • 1. Take patients to exam rooms, record vital signs and complete EHR encounter according to visit protocol.
    • 2. Obtain, spin, record, and discard urine specimens.
    • 3. Schedule and administer injections (EPO, Hep B, Flu, Pneu, B12, TB testing)
    • 4. Assist check out as needed with scheduling labs, diagnostic studies, clinical visits and appointments
    • 5. Keep exam rooms and lab area clean, neat and well stocked.
    • 6. Triage patient phone calls. Consult MD as required and communicate physician instructions to patient.
    • 7. Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner; respond to patient voicemail messages promptly; triage phone calls to appropriate person.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimun 1 year experience working in a physician’s office
    • Experience with electronic medical records
    • Ability to multi-task
