    West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Ophthalmology seek an Oculoplastic specialist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

    Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Oculoplastic. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

    Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an ophthalmology residency program, as well as ophthalmic plastic/reconstructive surgery fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Ophthalmology . All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

    At theWVU Eye Instituteyou will treat a diverse population and have exposure to clinically challenging cases. The WVU Eye Institute houses all subspecialties of ophthalmology as well as an active research program.With ongoing expansion this role offers the opportunity to be busy quickly.

    The Eye Institute is the largest comprehensive ophthalmology department in the state.The nationally recognized Vision Research Center has made profound contributions toward advancing vision science and has collaborative partnerships with other WVU Departments and research institutions to build vision related research.The research program currently is in receipt of seven R01 grants, oneCOBRE grant, and 16 industry sponsored studies.
