Pay: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:
Provides support in setting up and processing patient samples and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Receives pathology specimens according to defined protocols. Trains staff on proper specimen handling and labelling requirements.
• Logs patient and specimen information. Coordinates and tracks pathology samples that are sent to other laboratories.
• Reviews clinical histories and distributes pathology reports to ordering physicians and other providers.
• Ensures lab organization to support safety and efficiency. Orders supplies as needed.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree.
