• Responsibilities

Description:

Our medical assistant will work under the supervision of our pediatric cardiology providers to assist in patient care and ensure smooth workflow within the clinic setting. Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with patients ranging from infants to young adults are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort each patient and family to the appropriate exam room
• Obtain height, weight, and vital signs (heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, pulse
• oximetry) for each patient and record this information, along with other basic screening
• information, in our electronic health record (EHR)
• Perform EKGs on pediatric and young adult patients
• Place Holter monitors on pediatric and young adult patients
• Phone calls to patients, families, or other clinical entities as appropriate
• Prepare forms for provider signature, including completion of non-clinical decision-
• making sections
• Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms
• Order and stock clinic supplies

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Current Medical Assistant Certified or Interim Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH)
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
• 12 months Medical Assistant experience
• We require an annual flu vaccine and COVID booster, as well as documentation of routine childhood immunizations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical
• Assistants (AAMA).
• Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics
• Medical Assistant experience in Cardiology, ability to perform EKGs, and familiarity with remote cardiac monitoring
• Spanish language skills

Pay: $23.21 - $34.45 per hour
