Well established Podiatry office offering a Full-Time Medical Office Scribe position. Office Hours are 8:30am -5:00pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am – 4:00pm Friday, 39 hours a week. Seeking an individual who possesses a warm, compassionate and professional image to care for our long-time and new patients. Skills needed would be: professionalism, excellent communication skills, multitasking, attention to detail, organized, team player and punctual.
The office accepts Medicare and most PPO insurance (No HMO). This position is responsible for accompanying the physician in the patient exam room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam and accurately document the physician encounter with the patient including all proper diagnoses, symptoms and, follow up instructions, prescriptions, patient orders and procedures. Handle all aspects of billing the encounter. Electronic Medical Record used is TRAKnet and clearinghouse used is Availity.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Detail oriented, strong multitasker, organized
Using templates/mini templates create encounters while in the room with doctor and patient
Retrieving X-ray and MRI results and documenting results in chart
Review medical records and assign proper CPT, ICD10 and modifiers to invoice
Assist patients with questions
Build relations with company/product representatives
Performing other front office duties (from time to time back office tasks)
Required Qualifications & Education:
1 years of medical assisting
1 years of billing and coding experience
1 years medical office procedures
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology of the foot (podiatric specialty)
Working knowledge of CPT, ICD10 & HPCPS
Knowledge of Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record
Punctuality and great attendance
MS Word, MS Excel, scanning, faxing, typing, emailing and internet

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
