Physician Residency Coordinator oversees the administration and scheduling of the physician residency program of a healthcare organization. Coordinates and facilitates the activities of the physician residents and provides the resources necessary to fulfill curriculum requirements. Being a Physician Residency Coordinator ensures physician activities comply with governing bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or other applicable regulations. Supports the recruitment and selection process of resident physicians. Additionally, Physician Residency Coordinator administers and maintains a system or database to manage schedules and physician performance metrics. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Physician Residency Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We are seeking a BC/BE internist or family medicine physician passionate about geriatric care to join our team. While completion of an accredited geriatric fellowship is preferred, it is not required. Clinical services provided to our geriatric patients include clinic-based primary care, home health and hospice care, as well as both skilled and long-term care in several local nursing facilities. The ideal candidate feels comfortable with complex multi-morbidity, enjoys working with and advocating for high-risk populations, and is excited to teach principles of geriatric care to the next generation of family physicians.
This unique opportunity also includes leadership and development of multiple geriatric initiatives across RiverStone Health, including advance care directives, fall prevention, Medicare annual wellness visits, and comprehensive geriatric assessment.
