Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, people-oriented, Registered Nurse or Infusion Certified LPN, current license in the state of Indiana, to join our team as an Infusion Nurse. As an Infusion Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients receiving intravenous medications and therapies. Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous medications and therapies to patients in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patients during infusion treatments and promptly address any adverse reactions or complications
- Assess patient's condition and response to treatment, adjusting care plan as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration, side effects, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication administration records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
- Monitor and assess medication inventory and prepare weekly order per infusion schedule.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse with certification for infusion (LPN) license in the state of Indiana
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered or LPN (with infusion certification) Nurse, preferably in infusion therapy or a related field
- Proficient in medical terminology and knowledgeable about anatomy
- Experience with IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and other relevant nursing skills
- Strong understanding of infection control practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Health coaching experience is a plus
- Prior experience in primary care or emergency room settings is preferred
