Physician - Rheumatology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Rheumatology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Rheumatology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Rheumatology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Infusion Nurse

  • We are seeking a Part-Time/PRN Infusion Nurse to join our private practice in Georgetown, TX. This position is 2 days per week on Tuesday and Wednesdays or Wednesday and Thursdays.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assess patient physical status and obtain basic vital signs.
    • Responsible for the insertion and maintenance of IV lines.
    • Administer and document subcutaneous injections.
    • Prepare and administer medications based on the prescribed treatment plan and approved guidelines.
    • Monitor and maintain infusions and document a detailed record in EHR.
    • Maintain supplies inventory in the infusion suite(s).
    • Manage infusion/injection suite supply of medications. (Order, receive, log and store).
    • Ensure that the infusion suite is properly maintained for cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control.
    • Provide feedback to providers regarding concerns or issues that arise during patient treatments.
    • Oversee infusion patient scheduling.
    • Collaborate and confer with physician and the appropriate practice staff regarding patient status and treatment needs.
    • Perform other related duties as directed or required.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 years’ nursing experience, Rheumatology preferred
    • Valid Texas Nursing License
    • BLS Certificate required
    • ACLS preferred
    • Proficient in insertion of intravenous catheters, and subcutaneous and intradermal injections
    • Knowledge of drug uses, dosages, and calculations
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet patient workflow requirements
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Proficiency with electronic medical records

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
