Physician - Rheumatology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Rheumatology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Rheumatology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Rheumatology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Wrightington Rheumatology is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide clinical expertise to ensure our patients receive high quality care.
Qualifications:
Valid state MA License
Maintains Continuing Education credits
Experience: Rheumatology experience preferred. EclinicalWorks proficiency preferred.
Education: Graduate of accredited MA training program
Role Description:
- Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, medication reconciliation, and obtaining vitals.
- Notify patients of test results and instruct patients regarding treatment and medications.
- Schedule additional tests or treatments as well as arrange referrals to other specialists.
- Obtain and track prior authorizations from insurance companies for prescribed specialty drugs
- Competitive compensation package to be negotiated directly with candidate.
